Honoring the UAE National Day Through Art & Poetry

Updated: Feb 27

Dear Art Lovers,

In celebration of the 44th UAE National Day, an art and photography exhibition was held this year at Umm Suqeim Park in Dubai, in collaboration with Art+ Gallery. This meaningful evening was dedicated to honoring the Martyrs of the Nation, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Manea bin Manea Al Maktoum.

Certificate of Appreciation from His Highness Sheikh Manea Bin Hashr Al-Maktoum

The gathering brought together a beautiful selection of artists who donated and exhibited artworks created especially for this occasion.

Painting and photography became powerful mediums to express gratitude, remembrance, and unity — celebrating both creativity and national spirit.

When Poetry Becomes a Tribute

With Awad Bin Mohamed Bin Sheikh Murjrin

While many artists shared their talent through visual expression, my contribution took a different form this time. I chose to offer poetry — a few heartfelt lines written as a tribute to those who gave their lives and demonstrated unwavering loyalty to their nation.

Poetry, much like art, has the ability to touch what words alone cannot fully express. It creates space for reflection, emotion, and remembrance. In this context, poetry became a bridge between silence and meaning, allowing honor, gratitude, and respect to be felt deeply.

Art, Memory & Collective Presence during National Day

This evening was more than an exhibition. It was a moment of collective presence — where art, poetry, and memory came together to honor sacrifice and unity. It was a reminder that creativity can serve as a language of respect, connection, and shared humanity.

I am grateful to have been part of this tribute and to contribute through a medium that resonates deeply with my artistic journey.

Already looking forward to next year’s celebration.

Curious to discover more of my artistic universe?

Peace, Love & Colours,
